THREE motorists were hurt in a pile-up in the Blackwall Tunnel on Monday night. One was trapped and had to be cut free by emergency fire crews using heavy cutting gear

THREE motorists were hurt in a pile-up in the Blackwall Tunnel on Monday night.

One was trapped and had to be cut free by emergency fire crews using heavy cutting gear.

They were treated at the scene after the crash involving three vehicles in the southbound carriageway at 10.50pm. The tunnel was closed to southbound traffic for more than an hour before the wreckages could be towed away.
