THREE men have appeared in court charged with trafficking a woman into Britain from eastern Europe for sexual exploitation and with controlling prostitution.
The men, all in their 20s, were arrested on Thursday in an armed dawn raid in East London by officers from the Metropolitan Police Human Trafficking squad and from Scotland Yard's CO19firearms unit.
Vasile Oaches, 26, Gheorghe Mihali, 22, and Vasile Maris, 29, all from Meanley Road in Manor Park, appeared before Westminster magistrates yesterday (Friday).
A 19-year-old girl who was also arrested during the operation has been bailed to return to an East London police station in December, pending further police enquiries.
