Penny-pinching youngsters are set to present their projects giving tips on money management to a panel of experts this week.

A team of 22-23 year-olds from Whitechapel youth theatre ACT NOW were challenged to devise innovative projects to improve money management skills in their communities.

They will be pitching their project against teams from around the UK after securing a £500 grant for the scheme earlier this year.

Sarah Porretta is head of the Money for Life project, which is run by Lloyds Banking Group.

She said: “We’re so proud of all of the finalists for successfully making money management fun and inspiring and changing lives in their communities.”

The grand final is to be held at the London Film Museum on the Southbank on Thursday May 23.
