COMMUTERS face more disruptions tonight (Thurs) as Army sappers prepare to shift the massive 2,000lb Second World War German bomb unearthed in East London on Monday. London Underground is suspending the District Line between Whitechapel and Plaistow and the Hammersmith & City between Moorgate and Barking from10pm. The Fenchurch St-to-Southend service is also hit while Army sappers prepare to remove the bomb from the riverbed of the Lea at Bromley-by-Bow.

COPS are looking for a man caught on camera taking cable from Liverpool Street main-line when power supplies to the overhead cables had been switched off during last Wednesday evening's rail shut-down chaos. The man was photographed by an Advertiser reader taking copper cable at Bethnal Green, while stranded passengers were being rescued down the line.

TOWER BOOSTING SECURITY OVER CAR-BOMBS
BEEFEATERS are beefing up security at the Tower of London against the threat of car bombs. Tower officials want to install anti-terrorist bollards after the major tourist site was identified in security reports as a potential risk and have applied for planning permission for gates and stone bollards.
FURY OVER TAPS RUNNING DRY FOR 2 WEEKS
FAMILIES are angry over being left without mains water for two weeks in Bethnal Green's Guinness Trust Buildings in Columbia-road. Around 60 families, many with small children, are filling buckets from a standpipe in the courtyard and lugging them up stairs so they can drink, shower, wash dishes and even flush toilets. Guinness Trust blames Thames Water for reducing mains pressure.
CLARKSON'S 186MPH LANDS HIM IN HOT WATER
MEANWHILE... top Gear TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson is in 'hot water' after claiming he sped through the Limehouse Link tunnel at 186 miles-an-hour in a Bugatti Veyron supercar. The show host admitted getting "a great speeding ticket" driving six times more than the 30 mph limit. But a road safety charity later called on the BBC to sack him for "offensive and irresponsible" comments.
PASSENGERS ROUND IN A CIRCLE ON BOOZE BAN
ALCOHOL flowed and punches were thrown as a protest against banning booze on the London Underground got out of had on Saturday night and forced several stations to close on the Circle Line. The protest to mark the end of drinking in public on the Tube turned nasty and led to 17 arrests.
