FORMER Tory Party Chairman Norman Tebbit, Cabinet member in the Thatcher Government who was badly injured in the 1981 Brighton hotel IRA bombing, arrives in the East End tomorrow (Thursday) to unveil a memorial to an earlier conflict—the 1940 Battle of Britain.

Lord Tebbit unveils a bronze model by world renowned sculptor Paul Day commemorating the heroes at the Museum in Docklands at Canary Wharf in the afternoon.

It honours the airmen of RAF Fighter Command who defeated the Luftwaffe which halted a planned German invasion across the Channel.
