A MAN from East London who plunged to his death from a high-rise building in Harlow New Town has been identified this week as 26-year-old Darren Winstanley.

But Essex police are still mystified about how the tragedy occurred—they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

Darren, who lived in Abbott-road, Poplar, fell from Harlow’s Hughes Tower in the early evening of August 25.

An ambulance crew called in police when they arrived at the scene following a 999 call reporting a man lying injured on the pavement outside the high-rise block.

Darren was pronounced dead at the scene. A report was being prepared for the coroner for an inquest to be opened.
