Tower Hamlets apprentice credits colleagues for award win

A Tower Hamlets employee has been recognised for her strong work ethic and ambition at the regional round of the National Apprenticeships Awards 2016.

Charlotte Vincett-Labone, from Bethnal Green, won the intermediate apprentice award at the ceremony, held at Aldersgate Conference Centre, St Pauls, on Monday evening.

“I have always had a strong interest in apprenticeships as I believe the work based knowledge gained during an apprenticeship is incredibly valuable and increases employability,” said Charlotte.

“Tower Hamlets Council as a whole has been fantastic in supporting my progression through this apprenticeship and my team are the reason behind my success.

“I have been exposed to a variety of experiences, giving me the opportunity to gain a number of skills that 18 months ago I didn’t possess.

“Following on from this apprenticeship, I would love to continue working for Tower Hamlets Council as I have seen the amazing work they do and would be honoured to be a part of it.”

Charlotte will now be up for the national award, in January, after winning the regional accolade,
