Tower Hamlets cadets complete 4,000ft sky dive

Cadets travelled to the West Country to take leap of faith on their first ever sky dive from 4,000 feet.
A group of 10 daredevil cadets and two staff from the 31 Tower Hamlets Squadron learnt the basics on a weekend course in Wiltshire before making the jump.
One of those who took part earlier this month, senior cadet Cpl James Bier, said: “I think everyone was a little bit nervous when we got in the plane, and the nerves definitely built as we got higher and higher.
“But when it’s your turn to jump, you just do it – the adrenaline is incredible, and it’s a fantastic view on the way down.”
Having only been established eight months ago, the squadron is the newest in London – and is the first air cadet unit for several years to be given parachute training.
