A careers fair offering free advice for young people looking to improve their prospects has been put on by Tower Hamlets council.
The event, held at Limehouse Youth Centre, targeted teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 who are not in work, education or training.
It brought together organisations offering employment, apprenticeships, training and voluntary placements, and included advice on skills such as CV writing and interview practices.
Cllr Oliur Rahman, Tower Hamlets council’s lead member for children, schools and families said: “I really hope our young people will take advantage of events like this and the exciting initiatives we have on offer so they can get ahead and have fulfilling careers.”
Other workshops on offer at the event included music courses and rapping with MTV Base’s CLK.
