Tower Hamlets Council scooped a gong for its health and social care work at a local government awards ceremony last night.
The local authority was shortlisted for a total of seven awards, but emerged as a winner for “improving pathways for people with dementia and their carers”.
The ceremony, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London, was put on by the Local Government Chronicle.
Mayor of Tower Hamlets Lutfur Rahman said: “This is a fantastic achievement.
“It’s wonderful to be recognised by experts in the field of local government in this way, but it’s even more of an achievement because it shows that we’re delivering the best possible services to our residents.”
