The enterprising founder of a sports organisation has been listed as one of the top 50 young entrepreneurs for 2013.

Amie Samba, who is the brains behind sports group Run Fun Starz, was listed among the ‘Future 50 Young Social Entrepreneurs’ for 2013 by leadership company Striding Out.

Her organisation, which is based in Fashion Street off Brick Lane, goes into schools, workplaces and community groups to oversee sports sessions with the aim of promoting wider participation in sport.

Ms Samba was last year crowned Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Precious Awards, which recognise the achievements of “inspirational entrepreneurial women of colour”.
