SPIN doctor Charles Skinner is leaving Tower Hamlets to take up the top job in PR at beleagured Haringey council.
Mr Skinner has headed the communications department in Tower Hamlets council for the last two years but was recently seconded to Haringey council to crisis manage the PR response in the wake of the Baby P scandal.
He has previously worked with the Home Office, Central Office of Information, Cabinet Office and the Department of Transport and was head of PR at Haringey from 2004 to 2007.
He joined Tower Hamlets to stem negative coverage about its spend on consultancies.
An interim head of PR Alex Louis will take charge of the council's communications department.
