THE East End's health trust is the most gay-friendly NHS body in London, according to the latest survey.

NHS Tower Hamlets came in at number 45 in Stonewall's annual survey of the country's 100 gay-friendly employers.

The rating means the trust has moved up 13 places from last year and is now the capital's top NHS employer for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

The gay equality group surveyed more than 350 organisations across the country, rating them on how they engage with lesbian and gay staff, customers and service users.
