Tower Hamlets residents can do their bit to keep neighbourhood clean
Residents across Tower Hamlets are being urged to get involved in litter picking and clean their streets by a national charity.
CleanupUK already runs regular sessions involving residents in the borough who regularly pick up their litter grabber, put on their Beautiful Boroughs Volunteer hi-viz vest and help to keep their area respectable. CleanupUK has worked with residents in Poplar, Stepney, Bow, Shadwell and Mudchute to organise litter picking activities.
There are regular opportunities to get involved:
*Every Wednesday evening the Ocean Litter Pickers meet at 7pm in Stepney.
*Every Thursday evening the Poplar Pick Up Party meet at 6.30pm.
You may also want to watch:
*On the Isle of Dogs the Mudchute Magpies meet on the third Sunday of each month.
*The 2nd East London scout group regularly fill 100 bags per month.
