A series of free events will take place over the coming days as part of High Street 2012, an initiative aimed at celebrating East London life.
The festival will kick off tomorrow and last until Saturday, incorporating around 17 different projects in the area.
The first events will be held in Whitechapel, with the festivities meandering through East London until the final celebrations are held in Stratford on Saturday.
They will include food, exhibitions, music and dance, all put on with the aim of celebrating the social and cultural richness of high streets throughout East London.
