MUSICIANS from an East London school are preparing to give a performance fit for a prince in a concert for Prince Charles and 1,000 business leaders.

The pupils from Mulberry School will join the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and members of the Ismaili Community Ensemble in the concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

The girls aged 13 to 15 will perform in the finale of a unique musical collaboration called 'In Expectation of the Thaw' featuring composer and vocalist Rhett Brewer, filmmaker Lucas Jedrezjak and ice sculptor Jamie Hamilton. The piece, which features glass harmonicas, was inspired by global warming and the majestic beauty of the Arctic and will include a stage set of gigantic ice sculptures which slowly melt during the course of the evening at the event celebrating Prince Charles' 25 year presidency of Business in the Community.

Mulberry School has been supported by Mosaic, an initiative set up by the Prince of Wales to create opportunities for young people to be championed by influential Muslims.
