Penny pinching youngsters have found themselves in the running to take home an award for money management skills.

Two teams from Tower Hamlets are gearing themselves up for a final at the Tower of London where they will present projects aimed at promoting saving.

The competition is being run by Lloyds bank, which provides £500 grants to groups to develop money management projects aimed at benefitting their wider communities.

The two Tower Hamlets groups to have made the final are “ACT NOW – Cardboard Citizens youth theatre”, and “Bella’s Boutique”, which has members as young as 16.

Teams from across the country are to battle it out in the final of the competition on April 18.
