Tower Hill tube station was evacuated today after a “small explosion” on a train.
The explosion was likely caused by a mobile phone charger and there are no reported injuries, said the London Fire Brigade.
Fire crews from Dockland, Shoreditch and Shadwell were called to the scene at 12.26pm after reports of smoke on a train. They arrived to find no fire.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious, said a spokeswoman for the British Transport Police.
