MYSTERY shoppers are out and about to test if fireworks are being sold to under 18s in the East End.

It is illegal to sell them to anyone under 18 and children are not allowed to have fireworks in the street.

Tower Hamlets council workers are joining forces with police in the run up to Guy Fawkes Night in a bid to prevent anti-social behaviour.

This year's theme at the organised fireworks display at Victoria Park is Great Balls of Fire on Saturday.

The pyrotechnics are due to start at 7.30pm and finish at about 8.15pm.
