TRAFFIC in east London was brought to a near-standstill this morning after an accident caused delays.
Police put in place a contraflow system with one lane each way on The Highway after the collision in Glamis Road, Wapping, around 8am this morning.
Traffic has slowed in both directions on approach and there areeastbound tailbacks to Tower Hill and westbound queues through the Limehouse Link to the A13 Woolwich Manor Way.
Drivers were advised to use alternative routes if possible while traffic officers dealt with the scene.
