PUBLISHED: 07:00 27 July 2013

The London Triathlon being held this weekend is set to bring travel disruption to Tower Hamlets.

Around 13,000 people are expected to compete in the event, with road closures and diversions set to hit the south of the borough during the road race on Sunday.

East India Dock Tunnel, Aspen Way in Poplar, Limehouse Link Tunnel and The Highway, Wapping, are set to close in both directions from 5am to 6pm.

The A13 will be used as the main diversion route for those travelling east or west through the area. Wapping residents will be granted access through Vaughan Way.
