America’s famous Trojan Marching Band of the University of Southern California is coming to Canary Wharf for the first time with an evening performance.
The 80-strong band quick-steps into Canada Square Park at 6pm next Thursday, May 17, to perform their rally cries with traditional college songs and popular numbers adapted for a big band.
It has appeared in the opening ceremonies of the 1932, 1984 and 1996 Olympics and the 2002 Winter Games.
The visit to London is the first since the band was set up in 1918, having performed for five US presidents, played with Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and George Clinton and featured on a video with Fleetwood Mac.
