COMMUTERS faced delays this morning after the District, Circle and Hammersmith and City lines had to be closed after a trespasser was spotted on the track at Whitechapel. A Transport for London spokeswoman warned that trespassers are dicing with death.

COMMUTERS faced delays this morning after the District, Circle and Hammersmith and City lines had to be closed after a trespasser was spotted on the track at Whitechapel.

A Transport for London spokeswoman warned that trespassers are dicing with death. Railway lines can be deadly as 630 volts pass through the rails and trains are passing by every few minutes.

Service was resumed 15 minutes after the trespasser was spotted.
