TV DOCTOR Hilary Jones has visited London’s deprived East End to kickstart a health campaign to encourage people to improve their lifestyle.
The East End has 11,000 registered diabetics and high rates of cancer and smoking-related illnesses.
So Tower Hamlets Primary Care trust invited residents to meet health experts for the launch of its Time for Health campaign at Whitechapel’s Brady arts centre.
Speakers included GMTV’s Dr Hilary Jones, Tower Hamlets councillor Dr Anwara Ali and the London Mayor’s policy advisor Alex Bax.
The campaign, which runs until June, is raising awareness about living a healthier life. Details can be received by email
