TWO men have died in a fire in the early hours of Monday morning in Shadwell.
The blaze destroyed nearly of all of the property in Chapman Street on the second and third floors of the four-storey block.
Both men were found in a maisonette and were declared dead at the scene. They have yet to be formally identified and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
The Fire Brigade was called at 1.16am and the incident was under control by 2.52am, Crews from Shadwell, Whitechapel and Bethnal Green attended the scene.
