TWO people have been rescued from a blaze on their fourth floor flat on the Isle of Dogs.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus helped the man and woman to safety after the fire on Sunday morning in Cahir Street. They were treated at the scene by London Ambulance crews.
Two fire engines from the Poplar and Millwall stations and around 10 firefighters were called to the blaze at 8.27am and had it under control within 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
