I accompanied London Mayor Sadiq Khan and Bethnal Green and Bow MP Rushanara Ali recently to visit the London Air Ambulance Service at the Royal London Hospital to hear directly from the crew about the amazing work they do.

The service relies entirely on individual donations so please consider supporting it.

Along with the Royal Naval Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) based in Tower Hill, which helps people in distress on the river, they represent the best of our society and I am proud to support both organisations.

While we were there, we also met staff at the Royal London Hospital and school children from Canon Barnett School, Aldgate, to promote Clean Air Day, and a better, healthier environment for all.

Despite the relaxing of restrictions, Covid-19 is very much still out there so please get vaccinated and do everything you can to keep yourself and others safe.
