PUBLISHED: 10:31 06 January 2012

Engineering work on the DLR and reconstruction on the Underground is likely to affect weekend travel, passengers are warned.

DLR services are suspended in East London between West India Quay and Stratford both Saturday and Sunday to replace older track and for Crossrail engineering work.

Passengers on the Hammersmith & City, Circle and Metropolitan lines are being advised that Farringdon station in the City is closed all weekend for Thameslink upgrade work.

Cannon Street on the District and Circle is closed every Saturday until the summer for redevelopment, while Blackfriars two stops west is closed altogether for reconstruction till the new Thameslink station opens on February 26.

Elsewhere on Sunday, the Bakerloo is suspended between Queens Park and Harrow & Wealdstone for Network Rail engineering works, while the Northern is suspended between High Barnet and Camden Town southbound until around 8.30am and northbound until 9am for upgrade work.
