MURDER squad detectives are looking for a white trailer burger van in East London which was parked close to an alley where a man was found dying.
The driver may have witnessed vital evidence of what happened just before midnight on Saturday.
Police are treating as murder what happened to the 32-year-old who died at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel on Sunday.
He was found beaten up in Gillards Mews, off Hoe Street in Walthamstow, by police at 11.55pm Saturday.

An ambulance crew at the scene treated the man for multiple injuries before he was taken to the Royal London, but he died hours later.
Police believe that they know the identity of the man and are trying to locate next of kin.

A post-mortem examination at East Ham Mortuary gave cause of death as multiple injuries to the head and chest, although further tests are being carried out.
Detectives from the Met’s Homicide & Serious Crime Command want to trace the van owner which was parked in the street nearby.
They are keeping an open mind about what happened and are appealing for the owner or anyone with information to contact them at the incident room on 020-8345 1585, or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
A 23-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in connection with the incident and has been given police bail to return pending further enquiries.
