More than 1,000 timber panels were placed over a cable-net structure, making the building now weather-tight so inside work can begin.
The Velodrome is the key focal point of the north park and will host the BMX bike competitions and indoor track. The building is expected to be the first completed Olympic venue within the next year after installation of the cycling track begins in August.
