A meeting has been set up for people to have their say on how to help the environment.

Findings from green organisations on plans to combat waste and address environmental issues including better recycling will also be revealed at the public meeting next month.

Tower Hamlets mayor John Biggs said: “We’ve seen the devastating impact waste can have on the planet. It is clear that we all need to change our behviour when an increasing population is producing more waste.

“The waste strategy is about getting the basics right of collecting the bins and recycling, but also about how we waste less so we are a greener borough.”

The meeting is due to take place on October 1 from 6pm to 8pm at The Atrium, 124 Cheshire Street, Bethnal Green.
