VOLUNTEERS turned out in force to help clear up the foreshore of the River Thames and found what could be a safe in the mud off the Isle of Dogs.
They joined the second day of green charity Thames 21 summer river clean up and pulled out scores of plastic bags and other rubbish from the river this morning near Poplar Rowing Club.
The charity's Cleaner Thames Challenge continues at Fulham tomorrow (Saturday) and Erith on Sunday.
