THE food and bubbly came out for a picnic along the busy A11 Mile End Road in London’s East End on Saturday.
The high life’ organisers took over Mile End Waste, the strip of greenery by Mile End Gate, to celebrate the High Street 2012 project.
It’s a project aimed at improving the road linking Aldgate in the City with Stratford town centre and the 2012 Olympics now being built.
The busy traffic route will become the last four miles of the Olympic marathon and has been nicknamed High Street 2012.’
Picnickers also enjoyed a jewellery workshop and guided walks.
