East Londoners could have been going to Chelsea in January but now only have League Two to focus on
Leyton Orient boss Ian Hendon has called on his team to get over their FA Cup disappointment by beating Yeovil Town tomorrow (Saturday).
The O’s suffered huge disappointment on Tuesday night as they were beaten 3-0 by Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park.
It meant the Iron will be off to Premier League champions Chelsea in the next round of the competition on January 10 instead of the east Londoners.
While Hendon accepts everybody was looking forward to visiting Stamford Bridge, he has called on his players to get a good result against the Glovers at Brisbane Road.

“We all wanted to be in the next round playing Chelsea and it is a tough one to take, but we have to get over the defeat and look forward to Saturday,” said the Orient boss.
“We are back in the league and that is the bread and butter. We’ll be looking to get a good result against Yeovil on Saturday.”

Something that cost the O’s at Scunthorpe and has been a problem in recent weeks and months is a lack of clinical edge in front of goal.
Ollie Palmer missed a fantastic opportunity against the Iron in the first game at Brisbane Road to seal the tie while on Tuesday, numerous chances failed to find the net.
It has been the same in the league with Orient haven’t to settle for draws against Plymouth Argyle and Mansfield Town after failing to build on taking an early lead.
Hendon said: “We missed our chance in the FA Cup. We had a great opportunity to win the game in the first leg and we didn’t.
“We have come to Scunthorpe and we had opportunities again in the first half. Second half, when the goals went in, we sort of fell away I have got to be honest.
“Credit to Scunthorpe. They stuck in and scored at the right times.”
The Orient boss will hope it is his team scoring at the key moments tomorrow when division strugglers Yeovil coming to east London because it is vital they get back to winning ways in the league.
