People suffering from the life-threatening vasculitis disease are being offered a chance to get expert advice and ask questions to three of the world’s leading medical specialists.

An open online consultation has been organised by the Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation, set up in memory of schoolgirl Lauren Currie by her parents to raise funds for medical research and awareness of the incurable group of disorders which inflame and destroy blood vessels.

Lauren was 15 when she died in October, just 48 hours after being diagnosed with the disease which affects one-in-30,000.

A web link being set up at 6.30pm on August 30, giving vasculitis sufferers, their families and friends a chance to speak directly to specialists. GPs wanting to learn more are also being invited to take part.

The free registration for the web conference is online at www.thelaurencurrietwilightfoundation.org
