It was a dog’s life trying to compete to see who was the best mutt in town—but that’s what us canines had to do on Sunday in east London.

We were having an afternoon of barking madness at the Victoria Park Dog Show with celeb judges awarding us prizes and lots of goodies.

The show was in aid of All Dogs Matter, the charity that thinks we’re rather special creatures, but was also a chance for people to meet some of us canines looking for homes!

Hundreds of our two-legged friends turned up to watch the prizes being dished out.

Cutest pup was Skye the Collie Cross—he’s an ex-rescue pup who came through All Dogs Matter charity.

Golden Oldies champ was Duke, while Best Rescue winner was Jake the Staffie who came all the way from Sussex for the day!

But top dogs, surely, were Jessie voted ‘Miss Victoria Park’ and Pudding the cocker spaniel crowned ‘Mr Victoria Park’.

Sunday’s big contest, the second annual show with Tower Hamlets Dog Warden Service at Victoria Park, was watched by hundreds of supporters and spectators.

“We hope to make this an annual event to raise badly-needed funds for our dogs in need,” the charity’s general manager Ira Moss said.

“It was a great opportunity for some of our dogs looking for homes too, as they got to meet lots of visitors and will hopefully be in their ‘forever’ homes soon.”

Sunday’s show raised nearly £1,000 for the charity from stalls, raffle, tombola and fees for the dog contest.

Categories were ‘cutest pup’, ‘golden oldies’, ‘best rescue’, ‘Miss’ and ‘Mr Victoria Park’ and, of course, at the tail end of the judging was the mutt with the ‘waggiest tail’.
