PEOPLE experiencing diarrhoea and vomiting as the winter chill sets in are being asked not to visit doctor’s surgeries, hospitals and nursing homes.
An influx of the bug, known as ‘winter vomiting’, has been seen in the borough in recent weeks.
Symptoms can include a raised temperature, headaches and aching limbs.
Residents are asked to ring their GP surgery for advice if they have any symptoms to avoid the bugs spreading through busy waiting rooms.
Children who have been experiencing diarrhoea or vomiting should also be kept off school for a full two days after the last attack.
