A teenager died in a road accident involving a lorry on a busy dual-carriageway in east London just before last night’s rush-hour.
Now police are appealling for witnesses to the accident at 4.15pm on the A2010 Leamouth Road, between East India Dock Road and the Lower Lea Crossing roundabout.
The 18-year-old pedestrian died at the scene, despite attempts by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service to save him. Police were later contacting the boy’s family.
The lorry driver stopped at the scene and was helping investigators with inquiries, Scotland Yard confirmed this-morning. No arrests were made.
Accident investigators are appealing for anyone who saw yesterday afternoon’s accident to contact them by calling 101.
