Woman hurt in traffic light road accident

A WOMAN is in a life-threatening condition after a road accident in East London involving a car near traffic lights yesterday (Monday). The 23-year-old was critically injured in the accident on the A11 Mile End Road outside Mile End Underground station at 2.25pm

A WOMAN is in a life-threatening condition after being injured in a road accident in East London involving a car near traffic lights yesterday (Monday).

The 23-year-old was critically injured in the accident on the A11 Mile End Road outside Mile End Underground station at 2.25pm and remains in a serious condition in hospital.

The roads around the incident, at the traffic-lights with Grove Road and Burdett Road, were closed for three-and-a-half hours including the evening rush-hour while police investigated.
