Woman prosecuted for racially abusing Brick Lane health worker

A FOUL-MOUTHED woman who racially abused a health centre worker has been fined £165.

Janet Newton, 45, of Musbury Street, Whitechapel was also handed one day’s court detention after pleading guilty to the abuse at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday (January 7).

Newton turned nasty and swore at a staff member at the Homeless Health Centre in Brick Lane on Tuesday January 4.

She was arrested on Thursday January 6 and remanded in custody.
