A WOMAN was recovering in hospital this week after she was knocked down by a car.
The 40-year-old was crossing Commercial Road in Whitechapel near the junction of New Road when she was hit at around 2pm on Friday.
She was taken to the Royal London Hospital, but police say her injuries were non-life threatening.
She was the second pedestrian to be knocked down on Tower Hamlets roads in two weeks.
