THE Bomb Squad was called to Whitechapel this afternoon after a smoking package was delivered to an address in Brady Street.
Cops have quashed rumours of a nail bomb, saying specialist officers were called after a woman reported the smoking parcel to the fire brigade.
A spokesman said that although there had been no explosion, a woman had been treated for minor burns.
He said: "There is no indication of terrorism and the matter is currently being investigated by local CID."

Bomb Squad officers have now made the package safe. So far, no arrests have been made and inquiries continue.
