WORKERS had to be evacuated from a warehouse in East London when a blaze broke out this morning.
Up to 50 firefighters are at the warehouse and offices in Empson Street, Bromley-by-Bow, where half the first floor and the roof of the two-storey building are alight. Police have thrown a cordon round the area while emergency fire crews tackle the blaze.
Crews were called out at 8.20am from several fire stations including Poplar, Bow, Millwall, Bethnal Green and Stratford in East London. Ambulances are also on standby, but there have been no reports of casualties so far.
