Volunteers are urged to join the free family day at the water garden at the Cranbrook estate at Mace Street, off Roman Road, in Bethnal Green, for the record attempt at 11am.

Other attractions include free fishing lessons, the chance to discover aquatic life seen through an underwater camera and flower planting.
