The world’s second largest sailing ship will no longer be coming to the Docklands for the London Olympics.

The Kruzenshtern, a Russian ship from 1926 was due to arrive tomorrow at West India Dock tomorrow (July 27) and be open for tours.

A message on the ships’s facebook page read: “Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances we’ll not be sailing to London.

“We’re very sorry for any disappointments this might have caused. We are highly upset ourselves, as we all were really looking forward to this event.”

A spokeswoman for the Canal and River Trust was not sure for the reasons behind the ship pulling out.
