Young filmmakers awarded at East End gala event

THE talents of a seven young filmmakers from were recognised last week at the prestigious Limelight Film and Arts Awards 2010. The young people, based at charity Fairbridge in Hackney, produced film Slam Dunk , which was nominated in the Under 17s screen

THE talents of a seven young filmmakers from were recognised last week at the prestigious Limelight Film and Arts Awards 2010.

The young people, based at charity Fairbridge in Hackney, produced film 'Slam Dunk', which was nominated in the Under 17s screenplay category.

The Limelight Film and Arts Awards, which took place at the Troxy in Stepney on Thursday evening, supports community-based new filmmaking talent.

The event was attended by 500 filmmakers and personalities from television and film as well as high profile organisations.
