Dressed up as their super heroes young people set out on a walk between two East London hospices to raise awareness of the care they provide.

The Young Adults Superhero Walk which started yesterday from Richard House Children’s Hospice in Beckton and finished at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney took around three and half hours.

The participants, all aged over 18, receive care from one of the two hospices, and were dressed up as super heroes such as Batman, Spider-Man and Wonder Woman.

The walk was part of Children’s Hospice Week, which ran from April 26 to May 3.

The hospices provide care for people with life-limiting, life-threatening and complex healthcare conditions and their families.
