Club launches hunt for eldest member
Bethnal Green Sharks Swimming Club celebrates it’s 50th anniversary this year and the club is looking to find it’s eldest member.
Sharks, based simultaneously at Mile End Leisure Centre and York Hall, will stage a reunion on Friday, October 26 to commemorate the milestone.
The evening’s entertainment will take place at York Hall Leisure Centre on Old Ford Road with swimmers from six decades expected to attend.
Tickets are priced at �5 and must be purchased in advance by e-mailing swimmingclub@tiscali.net.
The evening will include a showcase of memoribilia through the years, plus a special presentation at 6pm..
And the organisers are hoping for a photo opportunity with the club’s youngest and eldest member.
