REPTON Boxing Club celebrated an excellent week with NINE National titles - five winners at national Youth level and four more in the Golden Gloves schoolboy championships.

Frank Buglioni rounded off an impressive week of success in the NACYP finals with a two round triumph over Scarborough's Jamie Scotter at Chelsea FC on Friday night's Class C finals.

Buglioni continued the impressive form he has shown all along the 2008 title trail with a dominant first round dropping his rival twice after landing heavy-handed attacks and more pressure in the second forced the referee to intervene in favour of the Repton boxer.

Brett Beadon, John Ward and Lerrone Richards punched out an impressive win treble as Repton launched a hectic week of national finals at the NACYP Class A contests at Nottingham on Monday.

Beadon sparkled with a high standard display against talented Billy Dean Dolan from Birley boxing club.

Ward also came through against quality opposition despite being weakened by a virus attack as he defeated national golden gloves title winner Jimmy Kelly.

Repton's Lerrone Richards clearly had too much ability for Middlesborough BC opponent Jimmy Allan and subdued a game rival with a classy showing that brought the 70 kg award.

Repton's quartet of winners at the Golden Gloves national finals at Knottingley, West Yorkshire at the weekend were John Lee King, Rio Wallace, Mark Baker and Danny Arnold.
