Docklands duo Micky Steeds and Matthew Marsh know that victory on Friday night's Matchroom promotion at York Hall is vital for their fighting futures

Docklands duo Micky Steeds and Matthew Marsh know that victory on Friday night's Matchroom promotion at York Hall is vital for their fighting futures.

Isle-of-Dogs cruiserweight Steeds must bounce back after three setbacks in the past 12 months when he meets former St Monica's, Hoxton amateur Terry Dunstan, who is making his third appearance since serving a lengthy prison sentence.

The pair, who both made early exits from the Prizefighter cruiserweight competition in May, meet in a six-round clash on Friday night.

Steeds has lost British title fights at both heavyweight and cruiserweight during his 17-bout career and must hope youth conquers experience against the 40-year-old Dunstan, who won the European title more than a decade ago.

Super-bantamweight Marsh meets Josh Wale for the vacant English title in a fight that doubles as an eliminator for the British title he tossed aside following a brief retirement from boxing earlier this year.

TKO gym boss Johnny Eames, who oversees Marsh's training, predicts a victory that will set up his fighter for a clash with the winner of Jason Booth's title showdown with Michael Hunter in October.
